Waiter order and kitchen board

The waiter builds the order at the table. The kitchen sees the same ticket, with the note, and releases the plate when it is marked ready.

The problem

The order starts in the dining room and has to exist in the kitchen without being rewritten. If the note lives only in the waiter's memory, the plate comes back. If the table status does not change, the floor does not know what to pick up.

In Canela and Gramado the dining room fills in a short window: fondue, boards and dessert leave the kitchen together, and a lost paper ticket delays the table. This study shows the slice I would handle first for a restaurant, there or in any other city in Brazil.

Decisions in this study

One order, two places

Sending to the kitchen creates the board card. There is no second typing.

A note on the item

Steak doneness and side swaps stay on the order line, visible on the card.

The table follows the kitchen

When the card is ready, the table changes to ready to serve. Delivering the plate returns the table to occupied.

What you can try

  • A floor map with free, occupied, in the kitchen and ready
  • An order with quantity and a note
  • A kitchen board for preparing and ready

Questions

Does the order run on the waiter's phone?

In the study, yes: the left column is the floor device. In a project, the format can be a phone, a tablet or a terminal the restaurant already has.

Can it integrate with a printer or a system the restaurant already uses?

It can be assessed. Kitchen printing, a KDS and an existing menu depend on the equipment and the API. I confirm that before promising the connection.

If the operation is yours, the conversation is direct.

Tell me how the dining room, the delivery or the shop works today. I come back with a slice. The work is remote, in any city in Brazil.
